May 2008 marks 22 years of development on RentalPoint Software. Founded in 1986, RentalPoint Software is a company registered in the province of Ontario Canada. Branch offices are located in Australia with dealers and reps in U.K., Switzerland and Holland.

RentalPoint Software is a privately owned incorporated company with the same ownership since 1986. There are no plans to float or go public, no venture capital is used nor is it likely to be. This provides stability for clients who trust that they can rely on us for good service for many years to come.

The software has undergone many changes throughout the years, including converting from DOS to Windows in 1997. The software backend was upgraded from a flat file system to a modern MS SQL database, which took place from 2001 until 2003. Development of the software is carried out by a team of programmers, support and quality assurance staff. RentalPoint has a diverse client base across the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia and Africa.
